My Sisters

I have three sisters. They grew up, moved to Australia, married nice Australian men, brought up their children, and are relatively happy. But - I do miss them! It would be so nice to be able to call by after work or on the weekend for a coffee and a chat, or meet in the mall for a shopping session, but I don't think they will ever come back home to live. They have made their lives in another country and have lived there longer than they lived in the country they were born in.

When we were younger, we argued, made up, laughed, said horrible things to each other, stuck up for each other - there's a bond between sisters that will always be there, no matter how different we are. And we are all very different people indeed - in looks and in personality! But still, when we are all together, all that doesn't matter - we are sisters.

My sisters, you are all remarkable women and I love you dearly.

I leave you with this quote, which made me laugh:

I smile because you are my sister, I laugh because there is nothing you can do about it!
